Meet The Founder

I’m Mykeia Garrett, LGPC, NCC , licensed therapist and founder of The UnTherapy Spot. I believe healing should be clinical, but still deeply human.

I’ve done sessions while clients sat in their cars, cooked dinner, or hid out in bathrooms. Sometimes it was tele-audio on their way to work, just to make sure they still got the support they needed. Because the truth is, not everyone has the time to sit on a couch in silence, but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a session.

This year, during a personal season of transition, I was abruptly ripped from my 19 year federal government career. My life shifted. I noticed that I was still showing up for my clients. I was going to my own therapy sessions. I was doing “the work” the work that needed to be done and yet, I still longed for something more. Something that didn’t require an appointment to make me feel okay.

Therapy Services

Real life therapy for real life people.

At The UnTherapy Spot, therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff, clinical, or scripted. It’s a conversation, a space where you can exhale, reflect, and rebuild in ways that feel natural and human.

Session Fees

  • Individual Therapy: $90 per session (Child/adolescent sessions are billed at the same rate as individual sessions at this time.)

  • Family or Couples Therapy: $150 per session (Includes joint and occasional individual sessions as clinically appropriate.)

  • Sliding Scale: Limited slots available based on financial need. Healing isn’t one size fits all and neither is pricing. If you’re in a tough spot financially, let’s talk. I offer a few sliding scale spots because I believe therapy should still be within reach.
